Landmark Aviation adds FBOs to
Max-Trax fuel route application
Listings ensure pilots get diverse airport information

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Pilots, dispatchers and flight schedulers can get more-detailed information on airport fuel prices than ever before. The list of the most-affordable fuel locations at airports nationwide in Max-Trax, a fuel-route-mapping application powered by GlobalAir.com, has gotten larger.
An agreement with Landmark Aviation adds its dozens of facilities to the large list of sponsored FBO listings in the Globalair.com Airport Resource Center (ARC), located at https://www.globalair.com/airport. Aviators will now get more-detailed information on fixed-based operators (FBOs) from Rhode Island to California.
The sponsored FBO listings include images of each facility, in addition to logos of products and services offered at Landmark Aviation’s 33 locations across the continental United States.
GlobalAir.com lists 2,200 FBOs at airports nationwide, offering detailed information such as ramp fees and contact information. The GlobalAir.com ARC supports Max-Trax and offers up-to-date METAR and weather information.
Users set departures, waypoints and destination airports into the Max-Trax system, located at http://www.airportfuelprices.com. The application then tells them, within a mileage range set by the user, which FBOs are offering the least expensive fuel rates for that particular route.
Enter fuel type and max-leg distance, and Max-Trax will begin plotting a course for a flight or series of flights. Users can also fine-tune FBO searches to use only public or private facilities, availability of instrument approaches or ILS precision approach, and corridor width.
Max-Trax, an innovative, patent-pending Web application, can save a personal or business aircraft operator thousands of dollars, even on a single flight. A 50-cent difference in a gallon of Jet-A could mean $450 in savings for a Citation Ultra’s fuel tank.
A larger jet, such as a topped-off Falcon 50EX, can save $1,200. A 25-cent difference in a gallon of 100 LL can mean more than $20 in savings per leg for a single-engine piston aircraft holding 50 or 60 gallons.
Jeff Carrithers, president of GlobalAir.com, said the expanded listings with Landmark Aviation provide the legion of pilots who use the Web site’s services more convenience and better information. The agreement fits with the company’s goals to provide the best resources and technology to aviators and aviation businesses.
