FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 18, 2010

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Pilots, aviation fans and employees of the business-jet industry now have a new home on the Internet to get updates, insight and information on the events and issues that matter most to them.

GlobalAir.com, one of the aviation field’s senior and most consistent voices on the Web, launched a companion blog for its site on May 1.

GlobalAir.com has long featured articles from prominent voices in the aircraft sales and business aviation community. Many of those writers will join more voices to post entries at http://blog.globalair.com.

GlobalAir.com President and CEO Jeff Carrithers called the blog a key milestone in the Web site’s 15-year history, which has seen the Internet grow from simply designed HMTL pages, into complex hubs of graphics, video, information and discussion.

“The users and customers of GlobalAir.com now have another advantage of using our site to find their aviation needs,” he said. “As always, they can expect us to bring them information they care about, along with timely updates on aviation news stories and events that matter to them.

“Social media is a growing force in the Web community, and among aviation enthusiasts, we already have one of the best track records of doing this on Facebook, on Twitter and now on our blog.”

Writers will include longtime and new contributors to GlobalAir.com, including David Wyndham of Conklin & de Decker consulting firm, aircraft broker Jeremy Cox of JetBrokers, Inc., aviation attorney Gregory J. Reigel of Reigel Law Firm, Ltd., and AeroLegalServices.com, and Allen Howell, CEO of Corporate Flight Management, Inc.

Additionally, GlobalAir.com will post blog updates throughout each business day to provide links to news stories of interest, multimedia features and other significant Web sites for the aviation community.
